So…I obviously haven’t posted in a while. In case you care, I’ve been doing P90X, and the workouts took my free time.
In case you’re curious: yes, it works. I noticed results right away, and my fitness improved throughout the course of the program. Of course, if you’re exercising for 1.25+ hours a day, six days a week, you better see results.
I took longer than three months to finish the sequence of workouts. Due to life’s various challenges, I repeated a few weeks when I wasn’t able to complete the workouts consistently. I am now in a “maintenance” phase, where I’m not doing the original workouts as intensely but am trying to stick with the general routine and diet. So far, I am still seeing improvements in fitness. I’ve been able to do some workouts mid-day, which has freed some time to get back to writing.
I expect to return to on-topic posting shortly. In the coming months, I will be writing about a different area of my research: the development of artifact typologies and explanation of quantitative variation in tool form.
